While Season 3 doesn't yet have a premiere date – fingers crossed it's before the end of the year and they don't pull a Game of Thrones– having an episode count does help us manage expectations of how much story we'll get and when.

“Our kids are aging. We can only write and produce the show so fast," Matt Duffer told The Hollywood Reporter after Season 2 premiered. "They’re going to be almost a year older by the time we start shooting Season 3… [so] it forces you to do a time jump.”
Season 2 left us with a lot of loose ends, including revelations about Eleven's "family," the question of whether Will is finally okay, an awkward sexual interaction between Nancy and Jonathan, and, of course, if Billy loves Steve.

Stranger Things and Stranger Things 2are now streaming on Netflix.
