Spielberg, the man himself, is not a fan of the idea, apparently. So much so that he recorded a video of himself smacking down Carl's Jr. with a verbal cease-and-desist, then tweeted it out on the official Amblin Entertainment Twitter feed.

In case it's not clear, this whole thing is a joke. A press release sent Monday by Carl's Jr. notes that "we haven’t spoken to the acclaimed director about this yet, but we’re going to try to get his attention."

The Carl's Jr. Twitter feed is currently flooded with posts trolling the acclaimed director. Some recreate famous scenes from his past movies. Others are just really odd.

Brands, folks.
